Two District Teachers Earn Globally Recognized Google Trainer Certification

North High School science teacher Heidi Bernasconi and Felix Festa reading teacher Amber Klebanoff have earned Google Trainer certification, a globally recognized badge of accomplishment and excellence.  The certified trainer program is so elite that Bernasconi and Klebanoff are two of only 25 Google Certified Trainers in New York State!

The accomplishment of these two educators underscores the success of our district’s year old Clarkstown Google Educator (CGE) program. The goal of the CGE program was to increase increase the district’s capacity for peer-to-peer professional development in the use of Google Apps for Education beyond the one technology learning facilitator available to the sixteen schools in our district.   The program was successful, and fourteen of our teachers are Clarkstown Google Educators (CGEs) holding a combined total of 53 content specific Google issued certifications!
