This morning the Department of Technology and Innovation was informed that BHS students were not able to post to Twitter from mobile devices, despite the implementation of the Responsible Use Policy which allows it. We determined the cause–which was that although the website was not blocked, the app was blocked–and promptly removed those restrictions. The time from notification to resolution was less than an hour, though many in the district were aware of the problem for days without reporting it.
